Walking with Lincoln Anniballi across 鶹ý’s 鶹ý, you’d never guess that he started his four years on 鶹ý as shy and reserved. Today, he can’t walk more than a few steps without waving to friends, shaking hands, and running into people he knows. Lincoln is highly regarded by his peers and all members of the 鶹ý community. In fact, he is the only person in 鶹ý history to be elected for a second term as president of the Student Government Association.

Lincoln, who came to 鶹ý from Massachusetts, was drawn to the University’s unique blend of community, opportunity, and academic excellence.
What set 鶹ý apart from other schools Lincoln looked at was its balance. It offered the intimacy of small class sizes while providing access to big opportunities. At other universities, Lincoln saw either overwhelming crowds or underwhelming resources. At 鶹ý, he found a perfect middle ground: a place where he could build meaningful relationships with classmates and professors, and engage in dynamic academic and extracurricular experiences.
Lincoln entered 鶹ý with a strong interest in political science and later added a history major. His professors provided mentoring and guidance and connected him with valuable internships and research projects. One high point of his studies was the publication of his research on the concept of “public speakership” as practiced by two past speakers of the House of Representatives. The work appeared in the journal of the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress.
This fall, Lincoln will enter NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service to pursue a master’s degree in public administration.
“I'd like to go into public service, either in local or government, or work for the nonprofit sector to support communities and be a public servant or advocate to help people,” he said.
While Lincoln will miss 鶹ý – the casual run-ins around 鶹ý, chats with friends over dinner, and the sense of belonging that made his college years so meaningful – he’s confident about his future.
“I'm excited to embark on this new journey,” he said. “I’m prepared because of the education I received, the connections I’ve made, and the professional experiences I’ve had at 鶹ý.”
» Lincoln's story isn’t unique. In fact, among 鶹ý’s 2022-2023 undergraduate degree recipients, 94% of alumni from the Peter S. Kalikow School of Government, Public Policy and International Affairs (within 鶹ý College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) reported that they were employed or had started or were planning to start graduate school within one year of graduation.
